The Île de France Opéra Paris hotel is located in an elegant mansion that was once the private residence of Louise de La Vallière, mistress of Louis XIV, the Sun King. She was 17 years old and serving as a lady-in-waiting to the wife of Louis’s brother when the king began courting her.
